NEW VIDEO: Shakira - Can't Remember To Forget You ft. Rihanna - WATCH NOW!

Posted on 9:02 PM by Unknown

It's here! Check out Shakira's brand new music video Can't Remember To Forget You featuring Rihanna. Watch below!

Shakira has finally unveiled the highly anticipated visuals for her single, Can't Remember To Forget You featuring bajan bombshell, Rihanna. The music video sees the pop-superstars comfort each other as they come clean about a love they just can't seem to let go.

The music video is hot! The girls serve up a lot of sexy, body and face, both looking amazing in some of the most beautiful fashions. This visual takes the song to a whole other level and I'm really feeling it. Even though Rihanna isn't much of a dancer, she sure kept up with Ms. Hips Don't Lie. I wont listen to the song without the music video though.

Shakira’s new self-titled album will hit stores on March 25th.

WATCH: Miley Cyrus Unplugged - SLAYED!

Posted on 11:28 AM by Unknown

Miley Cyrus turns it all the way up in her episode of MTV Unplugged!

Last night Miley Cyrus had her MTV Unplugged special air in the US in which she held a hoedown and performed countrified versions of her songs. Her set concluded with a mash-up performance with special guest, the iconic Madonna.

"A lot of what Madonna represented for me is what I try to represent to girls now," Miley said of inviting the legendary singer to perform. "Not being afraid of sexuality and really being who you want to be and doing what you want to do."

No matter what anybody says, this set was nothing short of amazing. Organic, raw, and very infectious. Even watching from behind this screen makes me wish I was in that audience. Vocals were on point! Bravo Miley!

Watch her full episode below!

Jennifer Lopez has released the visuals for her new single, Same Girl. Jenny returns to the block, The Bronx, New York City, and her urban roots for this brand new music video. She walks around the city, takes pics with fans, and rocks out with some dancers.

The music video is OK. Modest, humble as she proclaims in the song. Very ordinary, very homely. I'm glad urban JLo is back though. I like her better.

Rutgers University Offers College Course On Beyonce!

Posted on 10:23 AM by Unknown

You can now earn credits in college on the subject of Beyonce. Look at God! #Glowrayyy

Rutgers University is offering a college course (complete with credit) on pop culture staple Beyonce called Politicizing Beyoncé.

Politicizing Beyoncé is taught by Kevin Allred, a doctoral student and lecturer in Rutgers’ Department of Women’s and Gender Studies. He told the university’s website his goal is to help students think critically about pop culture.

“It’s important to shift students away from simply being consumers of media,” said Lecturer Allred. “When students don’t respond to theory or dense readings, it’s often easier to see things play out in the world around them.”

But it's not all Bey all the time. He also includes writing from artists and pioneers in the black feminist movement like Sojourner Truth and Alice Walker.

Other celeb' college courses? The University of Illinois offered a class on Oprah, Syracuse University had a course on Lil’ Kim and Georgetown University continues to offer a class on Beyoncé’s husband, Jay Z.

NEW MUSIC: Future - Drunk In Love (Beyonce Cover) - LISTEN NOW!

Posted on 12:32 PM by Unknown

It's Future's turn to cover Beyonce's Drunk In Love. Listen below!

Future has released his take on Beyonce's latest single, Drunk In Love. Unlike previous remixes/covers, Future opts to ex-out vocals from both King Bey and Jay-Z for his more laid-back signature stylings, singing and rapping on the track.

It's OK, I guess. Not my cup of tea but you might like it.

Check it out!

Lorde Covers 'Retrograde' By James Blake - WATCH NOW!

Posted on 12:13 PM by Unknown

Check out Lorde's cover of Retrograde. Watch below!

Returning home, just days after winning two Grammys, Lorde wasted no time getting back on stage as she performed at the Laneway Festival here in Auckland last night.

As part of her set, Lorde paid tribute to English singer/songwriter James Blake with a live cover of his track, Retrograde.

I love this cover. Retrograde is definitely one of my favourite songs released last year. Lorde's live delivery of the track displays an emotional rawness which is contestant in much of her performances.

VIDEO: Anna Kendrick's Cute 'I Met Beyonce' Story - WATCH!

Posted on 11:20 AM by Unknown

Anna Kendrick met Beyonce and completely freaked out. Watch her explain below!

In a recent appearance on the late-night talk show Conan, actress Anna Kendrick went on to share her hilarious obsession with Beyonce, and meeting her at the 2014 Grammys.

Kendrick tells Conan that she and friends specifically made a detour to walk past Beyonce, "just to get some of the aura." She panics, thinks to herself that this was a "once in a life" time thing so she then turned and came back to greet King B.

Beyonce then compliments Anna on her performance and her dress at last month's Kennedy Center Honors and says Jay Z loved it too.

Hilarious! That picture she posted on her Instagram was too cute. I would've been the same way. Or worse.

Naya Rivera Covers Cosmopolitan Latina, Talks Lying, Stripper Poles & Big Sean

Posted on 10:50 AM by Unknown

Actress Naya Rivera graces the cover of Cosmopolitan for Latinas magazine's Spring 2014 issue. The 27-year-old Glee actress looks hot as ever flaunting her perfectly toned bod' in a floral bra top and matching skirt.

Inside the issue Naya shares on lying to get jobs, and on fiancé rapper Big Sean being a great father one day. Rivera also revealed she recently installed a stripper pole in the couple's home and looked up "At Home Pole Tricks" on YouTube, admitting "I'm still sore!"

Look out for this issue on news-stands February 4.

On lying on her resume: I was very resourceful when it came to getting a job. I was the ultimate liar on a resume. At the tender age of 19, I said I had a bachelor’s degree; they never checked! Even when I didn’t have much, I always acted as if I had everything I wanted. Latin women are go-getters by nature. We have a certain charm and finesse that gets us what we want.

On her fiancé Big Sean: I think he’s going to be an amazing husband, and he’ll make a great father someday. He’s so kind to people, but he also wears the pants in our relationship, which I love. We Latinas are very independent and strong, so it’s even sweeter that I’ve found somebody who can let me out of that role for a minute.

I was so shocked. I was at home and one of my friends hit me and said you just won a grammy and I was like, what. I went on the internet and I just saw “Unapologetic,” it was quite an emotional moment surprisingly but I was in shock.

Beyonce's 'Drunk In Love' Performance at the Grammys - WATCH NOW!

Posted on 6:15 PM by Unknown

Check out Beyonce's much talked about Grammy performance below!

Beyonce took to the 2014 Grammy stage in her first televised performance of any material from her latest album, Beyonce. The 17-time Grammy winner opened the ceremony with a performance of her single, Drunk In Love. King Bey' looked amazing in a sheer black bodysuit, with husband Jay-Z joining her on-stage for his feature towards the end.

I can't lie. I expected more from this performance than what was presented. Rated on a Beyonce scale, it's one of her lowest. In saying that, she looked amazing and sounded exceptional. Fact is, her most "boring" performance is still better than your faves could ever deliver. What do you expect a girl who's done everything to do anyway!?

Watch the performance below!

NEW MUSIC: Lorde - Royals ft. Wale & Rick Ross

Posted on 3:49 PM by Unknown

Another remix of Lorde's 'Royals'. Take a listen below!

Wale launches a brand new Tumblr page today, and on it he posts a his own remix of Lorde's worldwide no.1, Royals. The 29-year-old rapper adds to Rick Ross's previously-released freestyle, switching up the beat and dropping his verse after Ross's.

Maybach Music's reggae artist Magazeen also joins.

Wow. An actual remix. It should be a rule that just because you add a verse to a track, doesn't mean it's a remix. The way these guys deliver and switch up the beat half-way through really gives something soothing to the track. Bravo!

Beyonce & Jay-Z To Perform 'Drunk In Love' At The Grammys!

Posted on 3:29 PM by Unknown

Looks like Bey and Jay will perform our favourite song at the Grammys!

After CBS confirmed that Beyonce and Jay-Z will indeed take the stage at this years Grammys; via Youtube which they have since deleted; more info about their performance have been circulating the blogs.

Hits Daily Double, the go-to-people when it comes to providing record sales weekly, are reporting that she and husband Jay-Z are performing their hit “Drunk In Love.”

Via Hits Daily Double:

What’s more, that “Mr. and Mrs. Carter moment” we’ve been speculating about for the last month or so—which we hear will find the pair will performing the duet “Drunk in Love”—has also been secured

Makes a lot of sense. Since Bey' has yet to officially start any kind of promo for her already platinum-plus album, of course she would take to the biggest stage in music biz to begin. I hope she incorporates 'XO' into the performance. I really am excited for this era, and especially for it's live performances.

The 2014 Grammys will air January 27 from 2pm on TV2(NZ).

NEW MUSIC: Alicia Keys - Power

Posted on 4:05 PM by Unknown

Check out new music from Alicia Keys. Well, kinda new. Listen below!

Alicia Keys reaches into the vault to release a new track which has never been released prior, entitled Power. The track was unveiled via her website The Vault, and is a empowering uptempo track recorded back in 2007.

As you listen to the track it's obvious why it never made the final cut. The track is bland, very one bar, and lacks a much needed climax. Exceptional vocal delivery nonetheless.

Via The Vault:

This is one of my favourite unreleased songs. I was looking for my power. This song says it all. All of these pics inspire me! They represent the power of being yourself and finding yourself! Shine on!

Listen to the As I Am era track below!

Inside, the Prism pop-princess talks about her breasts, the instance in which she lost her virginity and the existence of extraterrestrials.

On how she prayed for breasts: “I lay on my back one night and looked down at my feet, and I prayed to God. I said, ‘God, will you please let me have boobs so big that I can’t see my feet when I’m lying down?”

“God answered my prayers. I had no clue they would fall into my armpits eventually.”

On if we’re alone in the universe: “I see everything through a spiritual lens… I believe in a lot of astrology. I believe in aliens. I look up into the stars and I imagine: How self-important are we to think that we are the only life-form?”

“I mean, if my relationship with Obama gets any better, I’m going to ask him that question. It just hasn’t been appropriate yet.”

On how she lost her virginity: At the age of 16, in a Volvo while listening to Jeff Buckley’s album “Grace.” She admitted, “Love that record so much.”

On weed: “The weed — I’m not friends with it. I can’t do that stuff. I’d be like in the corner: ‘Are you trying to kill me?!’”

I'll never forget the conversation I had with Beyonce and her insisting that nothing was off limits. And me being like, "Oh yeah are you sure, coz I could really take it there, y-know we could go."

Leaving the room and just thinking, What is the first thing I would want Beyonce to say to me as a man. What have I not heard her say, and what do I wanna hear her say.

NEW MUSIC: Danity Kane - Bye Baby

Posted on 8:56 PM by Unknown

Check out this new song from Danity Kane. Listen below!

Danity Kane 2.0 have released a brand new track entitled Bye Baby and we've got it here for your listening pleasure. The newly reformed group, Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day, Shannon Bex, and Aundrea Fimbres hit us with an up-tempo track saying their good-byes to their men.

It's a nice track but nothing special. An evenly levelled track, meaning nobody outshines another vocally. My best guess is that this is the first of many buzz singles, where we get to know the new and "improved" Danity Kane. It's too weak for a comeback single, the girls know better. Cute nonetheless.

What do you think? Listen:

NEW MUSIC: Beyonce - Partition ft. Busta Rhymes & Azealia Banks

Posted on 11:08 PM by Unknown

Check out Busta Rhymes and Azealia Banks' verses on Beyonce's 'Partition'. Listen below!

Even though they weren't needed, it was a nice surprise when a remixed version of Beyonce's Partition surfaced online with verses from Busta Rhymes and Azealia Banks. Both take on the sexual theme to it's extreme with very satisfying outcomes.

This is not an official remix.

Partition sans Busta Rhymes and Azealia Banks can be found on Queen Bey's self-titled visual album Beyoncé. Find that on iTunes.
